Curriculum Print E-mail

kidzana-logo-web.jpgBecause we are cross-cultural in our intention, we get many questions regarding our curriculum choices.

Our classrooms are traditional in style due to our goals and facility. We are a Bible Church. We use developmentally appropriate, multiple level, Sunday School materials from Kidzana Ministries in our programming for Preschool through Fifth Grades (http://www.kidzana.org). Kidzana materials were produced locally by Sylvia Foth with whom we have a relationship. We have also used Kidzana's Outreach VBS materials as well and found them filled with creative ways to get students to understand the TRUTH of the Gospel.

Currently this publisher is concentrating on training nationals across the world for Children's Ministry using a two level approach. Moldova, Lebanon, Cameroon, Philippines, and Indonesia are just a few of the places her conference-trainer-teacher-missionaries have gone to model "1 + 1" and "each one reach one" and "each one teach one". Kidzana's goal is one million children for Christ. We like this publisher's heart and mind for God's Kids of The Nations!

The materials are biblical, fairly comprehensive, easily used, full of "hands on options," and inexpensive. Reproducible CD's allow for indefinite usage of Kidzana's two year scope and sequence for each level. The only ongoing cost is paper and the craft/activity supply options. Sylvia Foth was one of the very first publishers to be sensitive to the need for multicultural-looking graphics and many of the Kidzana graphics don't feature people at all.

ABC's GAP - transitional Sixth Grade Sunday School - is being taught a systematic theology at the 11-12 year old level! They start with Theology Proper, Bibliology, etc., and go all the way through Eschatology. We see this challenge as the last opportunity to get solid doctrine into students before "Junior High/youth ministry's" approach of inspiration, challenge, and application. This teaching team is led by a gifted Master-Teacher-Publisher-Editor. We hope to publish this curriculum at some point ourselves.

We are truly blessed, and desire to bless you and your child with His Truth! Join us!
