ABC's Children's ministry statement is to assist parents in evangelizing and establishing their children in Christ. We often read or quote the passage from Deuteronomy 6:5-9 regarding the structured teaching of God's Word to children, and the modeling of our faith and Christian walk before them in everyday activities of family life. But another often-overlooked verse from that same passage clarifies the child's part: a response to the teaching and modeling! Verse 20: "When your son asks you in time to come, saying,' What is the meaning of the Words God has commanded you?' Then you shall say to your child......" We hope the Helps that follow give you practical tools in "what to say" and "how to lead" your child to the point they make a personal choice that God is Real, His Son is Real, and His Word is Real too. Truly that is a parent's greatest joy and greatest responsibility - preparing your child's heart to receive God's Truth.
