![]() Pastor of Christian Education The Pastor of Christian Education helps to lead and shepherd all educational ministries within the church. This includes Sunday School, Nursery, Women's ministries, Adult classes, and small groups. John Peterson , Christian Education Pastor, is a parent of 3 children, now grown and out of the house (most of the time). Nursery Director The Nursery Director helps to serve the team by taking care of the administrative, training, recruitment, and ongoing support of the nursery team. Wendie Costello, married to Troy Costello of 15 years and mother to Nia (age 11) and Levi (age 8). They live in Preston, Washington Coordinators Coordinators are in charge of monitoring and running the activities of the classrooms on Sunday mornings. They make sure that all Curriculum Ministers and Captains have everything they need to effectively serve the parents and children who are checking in. Captains Captains are the friendly faces you see when you check your child into the classroom. They make sure that we have appropriate contact information for parents, know where they will be in case of emergency, keep on top of pagers, and make certain that all belongings are properly labeled for each child. They also note for the classroom if there are any medical alerts or allergies that a child may have. Curriculum Coordinator The Curriculum Coordinator helps to choose curriculum and train and support all Curriculum Ministers to be certain that the infant and toddler curriculum is carefully followed. She also helps to troubleshoot any problems that may arise in the classroom. Curriculum Minister The Curriculum Minister helps to lead the classroom through the curriculum for that year, and supports and encourages all Nursery Workers. Nursery Workers The Nursery Worker is the backbone of the ministry, in that they are the ones in direct contact with the children each week. They nurture, teach, comfort, and play with each child in their care. They get to know each child, and communicates to parents what the child is learning and doing using the green report sheets. |
