Discipleship
Christians are called by God to be salt and light in a world that is decaying morally, ethically and materially, and wandering aimlessly in spiritual darkness and religious fog. We have been given the specific responsibility of making disciples, as we proclaim the gospel, actively serving as Ambassadors for Christ.

It is, however, not possible to share what we do not know
or give what we do not have.

There is a direct correlation between the time we spend in discipleship training and our ability to communicate effectively with others. People all around us are swimming in a sea of moral and ethical relativism. They need help. But few people are willing or able to throw out life lines. As those entrusted with the message of eternal life through Jesus Christ, we must be capable and willing to share more than confusion with those asking questions and seeking answers concerning our hope. This requires a clear understanding of our faith and the ability and willingness to pass on what we have learned.

Too much fill-in-the-blank Bible study materials consistently collect dust on the top of shelves as it sits lined up neatly in full binders complete with certificates of class completion. In reality, these notes are little more than a testimony of sincere intentions that will never be realized. It is never comfortable to feel trapped in theoretical fog. But fuzzy thinking is especially tragic when the message concerns a person's eternal destiny or reward. All Christians have a responsibility to ensure that the transferable truth principle of 2 Timothy 2:2 is actually occurring daily and not just being memorized or discussed.

As ambassadors for Christ our goal for living is neither comfort nor
convenience, but rather to be trained instruments in God's hands to help
populate heaven and depopulate hell.

The Christian life was never intended to be lived in isolation or as a spectator sport. We have been called to serve as faithful stewards, not pampered aristocrats who expect others to serve us.

The materials in Transferable Cross Training 1, 2 and 3 have been field tested. Pragmatically speaking, they work. The focus on each lesson is its simple transferability. Our desire for those who accept the challenge of discipleship is that with or without a Bible and notes in hand, each individual who has taken the time to master the concepts and principles in this series will have confidence to comfortably and biblically respond to common questions and comments from friends or enemies of Christ. By God's grace we can make a difference in eternity by being actively involved in the most important job assignment entrusted to mankind.

TRANSFERABLE CROSS TRAINING

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF OUR DISCIPLESHIP MEETINGS?
Our discipleship meetings are designed as a time of training to help equip men and women to be effective disciple makers.

WHO CAN SIGN UP FOR THE TCT DISCIPLESHIP SERIES?
Our TCT discipleship meetings are open to everyone who will faithfully do the work necessary to complete each class. If a person does not have the desire to count the cost of discipleship training, then maybe attending a small group or Bible study would be more appropriate at this time. God still desires to use men and women who are faithful, available and teachable. Individuals who focus on their own private agendas are at best a hindrance to God. We will learn together. The ground is level for all of us because of the cross. To treat fellow members of the body of Christ as anything less than a valuable equal, regardless of where they are in the maturing process, is insulting to them and a slap in the face of God our Creator.

WHAT IS OUR GOAL FOR DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING?
The materials in TCT 1, 2 and 3 have been field tested.

M I S S I O N

The Mission of Transferable Cross Training is to train Christian soldiers for spiritual battle. It is our goal to see every Christian effectively equipped to know what they believe, why they believe and how to comfortably and confidently share what they believe with others. It is our conviction that proactive Christianity is Biblical Christianity and that Ambassadors for Christ who are capable of clearly communicating reasonable answers to reasonable questions regarding our Christian faith, should be considered normal rather than novel. "If I can do it, you can do it," concisely conveys a mindset that is both caught and taught throughout the Transferable Cross Training series. Gathered to Learn, Equipped to Serve, and Scattered to Reproduce is a simple motto that represents the heart and soul of Transferable Cross Training. God bless you as you take up the challenge to aggressively and actively participate in the most important job ever entrusted to those who profess to obediently follow the great command of the Lord Jesus Christ as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20.
