I went on my first mission trip when I was in the 6th grade with my dad to Mendenhall, Mississippi. I have had the blessing to go to Mississippi, South Carolina, New York, Montana, Mexico, and Philippines on several different mission trips.
Each time my role has been different; sometimes as a student and other times as a leader. The Lord has used this to mold me into the person that he desires me to be.
In 2007, my junior year, at Washington State University the Lord made the calling to full-time missions clear on my life. It has just been a matter of when and where.
Over the past few years I have followed many different opportunities but ultimately the Lord continued to direct me to the Philippines. I am now entering my 3rd year on full time staff with Global Surge based in Manila, Philippines (but we operate in South East Asia and around the world). My primary role will be the group & internship coordinator and assistant creative director. As the group coordinator I am responsible for recruiting, training, and hosting teams of people who would like to volunteer with us in the Philippines (and other countries). I also have been developing our internship program to be a training ground for people to figure out if and where they are called in full time missions. My role as the assistant creative director on our media has been stretching me in new ways.
