Ray and Teryl have been missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators since 1989. The year after they were married, they served in Russia from 1993–1998, on a New Testament translation project for the 2 million Chuvash people;
helping to translate and publish the four Gospels into their language. Since then, the complete Bible has been published in Chuvash.
Ray and Teryl currently live in Atlanta, GA, where Ray serves as Director of Recruitment for Wycliffe US. Teryl serves as a Bible translation consultant with Seed Company, an affiliate of Wycliffe. She travels to Nigeria a few times a year to help Nigerian people groups translate the Scriptures into their own languages. The Ron people, a project she has been working with the last 5 years, will be completing their New Testament this year!
Their oldest son, Sander recently graduated from Stanford and married Esther in 2016. His younger brothers are Conner, in college at Liberty University online and Wil, who graduates high school in 2018.
Ray and Teryl’s focus remains on the1700 people groups who do not have God’s Word in their own language.
