2009 Bible Studies
With so many uncertainties in the world today, one thing for sure is God’s word and His promises. Maybe you are in a place where giant waves are crashing down on you and you can’t even catch a breath. For some, you don’t know where the money is coming from to pay your bills or maybe some of you are struggling with health or relationship issues. It could be that you can’t identify with any of the above but you are seeking God’s wisdom.
For most of you, it is not a matter of knowing who to turn to in time of need. The problem seems to fall into the category of not believing/trusting in God’s word. Our actions and thoughts should come in alignment with what we believe. That is not to say we won’t struggle from time to time, but part of being in a Bible study is that you learn what lies you believe and what is the truth – Gods truth. Other benefits of being in a study is accountability, building friendships and becoming more Christ-like.
We live in a fallen society where promises are broken constantly. But God is faithful and trustworthy. His promises are true. The Bible is full of them and the only way you are going to find them is to get into the Word. Now is the time to saturate yourself in studying God’s word.
Part of being in a group allows you to learn from others and for others to learn from you.
One of the promises the Lord highlighted to me years ago was Psalm 1:1-3. Blessed is the (woman) who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but (her) delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law (she) meditates day and night. (She) shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever (she) does shall prosper.

Esther: It’s Tough Being a Woman - by Beth Moore
Going up against heavyweights bent on her destruction, Esther trusted God and landed a blow that saved her people. The Old Testament story of Esther is a profile in courage and contains many modern
parallels for today’s woman. Esther’s destiny can be yours as you know more deeply the God who is in your corner. Join us in an in-depth and very personal examination of this great story of threat and deliverance. Beth peels back the layers of history and shows how very contemporary and applicable the story of Esther is to our lives. If you’ve ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed overpowering, this is the study for you. Just as it was tough being a woman in Esther’s day, it’s tough today. This portion of God’s Word contains treasures to aid us in our hurried, harried, and pressured lives.

W.O.W. (Women of Wisdom)
We are a group of women 40 and beyond. This year we will be
studying “Women of the Bible Book 2.” The women of the Bible play an integral, essential, and crucial role in the eternal plan of God. From heaven’s point of view, women are always unique, matchless, and
irreplaceable—they are never to be found in a subservient ranking within the kingdom of God. The women characters featured in “Women of the Bible Book 2” demonstrate to us the struggles we all have in being faithful and submissive to God’s design. Through a detailed study of each of these noteworthy women of the Bible, you will learn that God has called today’s woman to play a significant role in society, in the home, and in the church. You will learn from their mistakes and discover that the blessings of God are heaped upon the woman who faithfully trusts the Lord in all situations.

valuable insights for us today, including God's methods for dealing with rebellion, His shaping of Moses into a servant leader, governing
principles for the just treatment of others, and guidelines for pure and wholehearted worship.
