backyard VBS/Vacation Bible School
We need you!
Antioch’s unique way to touching the lives of our neighbors is coming back this summer in full force. Backyard Vacation Bible school is unique to Antioch and carries out the great commission so personally…to our own neighbors. We have some clubs in the area lined up for this summer, but we need your help serving the kids. Our theme is focused on kids giving their whole lives to Jesus…not just saying “yes” for their ticket to heaven. If you are interested in serving, please visit the VBS table on Sundays for an information packet and specifics on what our needs are! Or send an email.
This ministry was started by our Ambassadors, David and Holly Hughes. Their vision is to see the Lord bring eternal change into the lives of urban student athletes and their families by partnering with churches, schools, businesses and lawmakers to create opportunities and a safer community.
Urban Impact’s mission is to partner with families and communities to break the cycle of social, material, and spiritual poverty.
Holiday food baskets provide Thanksgiving and Christmas meals, as well as gifts (via gift cards) for those who may be in need of a helping hand.
This is aimed to reach people in our church, your neighborhood or co-worker, and Pastor Al’s ‘hood’ Kirkland Heights, a Section-8 housing development that Antioch has had a year-round presence in since 1999.
