All couples go through different stages in their marriage, with some stages being more enjoyable than others. Wouldn't it be great to have a clearer understanding of God's perfect design for marriage and how to navigate triumphantly through the valleys, while learning how to fully enjoy the savory sweetness that accompanies an intimate relationship with your spouse?
Whether you're newlyweds or have been married for decades, we'd like to invite you to join our Marriage class where you'll have the opportunity to learn more about God's design for marriage, explore practical relationship tools and best practices, fellowship, and build relationships with other Antioch couples. Duane and Nadine Stewart will lead the class using a variety of different resources including the Bible, Family Life's The Art of Marriage series, and a number of additional tools they use in their marriage coaching ministry. There will be plenty of opportunity for learning, group discussions, and sharing of wisdom with one another.
New Series beginning December 1
The Seven Principles Workshop
Do you desire to strengthen your relationship with your partner?
Are you feeling stuck, arguing in circles about the same issues?
The Seven Principles Workshop for couples is a seven part workshop based on the internationally acclaimed research of Dr. John Gottman as presented in his New York Times bestselling book—The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. This educational workshop has been offered across Canada and the US (and internationally) and has strengthened the relationships of tens of thousands of couples. It’s specifically designed to help couples improve their friendship and learn meaningful communication and conflict management skills.
The workshop includes lectures, demonstrations, videos and *private* couples exercises. The activities are fun, insightful and informative. And there is no need to worry about sharing your personal problems in front of others . . . we don’t do any group sharing at this workshop.
COUPLES WILL LEARN & PRACTICE RESEARCH-PROVEN TOOLS TO:
Make conflict work for your relationship
Deepen intimacy and build trust
Identify your solvable vs. perpetual issues
Strengthen your foundation of friendship
Collaborate more effectively to solve problems
Communicate clearly and effectively
For over 30 years Dr. John Gottman studied the habits of married couples and the behaviors that put thousands of marriages in a shaky place – as well as the behaviors that helped build relational bonds. Through his research shown in the Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, Dr. Gottman has helped couples create safety, connection, and intimate friendship with each other by focusing on the small day-to-day moments that, weaved together, make up the heart and soul of relationships.
WHO THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR:
Couples contemplating engagement or pre-marital couples
Couples in every phase of marriage, from newlyweds to seniors
Couples wanting communication tools to help them move through conflict
