Men’s Retreat

Our men’s retreat is designed to get you away from distractions and help you focus on getting equipped to more effectively take an active stand for the Lord Jesus Christ as a trained and committed soldier.

Unfortunately, many Christians have become little more than religious spectators committed to convenience. Rather, we should be Christian soldiers committed to populating heaven and depopulating hell. We are in a spiritual and cultural war where more people are against us than for us, but remember that the great equalizer, Jesus Christ, stands with us and for us. Romans 8:31 reminds us, if God is for us, it does not matter who is against us.

The worship will be great, fellowship will happen, and relationships will be developed. But our primary purpose for this weekend is to focus on speakers, WORKshops, and breakout sessions, all designed to help you “more effectively contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.” Jude 3.

Born and raised in what some call The First Family of Football in Puyallup, Washington, Brock Huard is the ‘middle quarterback’ of Mike and Peg Huard. After playing for his father, the head football coach, at Puyallup High School and being selected as the 1995 Gatorade Circle of Champions National Player of the Year, Brock followed his older brother Damon’s footsteps, playing quarterback for the University of Washington Huskies. He was drafted in 1999 and played six years in the NFL, four of which were with the Seattle Seahawks.

These days, most know Huard as co-host of KIRO radio’s 710 ESPN morning sports talk show – Brock and Salk. He is also a college football analyst for ESPN and provides color commentary for Seahawks preseason games.

Brock’s testimony is full of inspiring stories and insights of the many deep and transforming friendships that have impacted his growth as a Christ follower, both on and off the field. Brock’s transparent, approachable style will inspire every man in attendance to seek new ways to put feet to our integrity as we continue to grow in our faith.
