We exist to assist parents in training and evangelizing their children to Christ and in establishing them in a growing relationship of His grace and knowledge. God's Word specifically holds parents responsible for their children's formal and informal spiritual training; i.e., Deut. 6:1-9, and Psalm 78.1-8. We are excited to come alongside parents, teaching children about God and His Son, Jesus Christ. Join us Sunday mornings and midweek at Awana as we partner together to train up the next generation.

Summer Children's Programs recruitment 2018
Summer programs are in need of a few teachers! If you have always had a tug on your heart to minister to our Antioch children, summer is the time to answer that tug! Programs are light, attendance is lower, curriculum is fun and relationship-based, and your commitment is for only 12 weeks. We are more than happy to work around your vacations too! Summer programs begin in June.

For children who are 0 to 3 years of age. We believe even our littlest ones can learn! We plant the seeds of God’s Word in our little children and provide a safe, loving and consistent environment so that they might one day come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
Our Mission for the Nursery is to be a place of:
- Safety - where children’s bodies, minds, and emotions are safe
- Teaching - where the littlest child is taught about Jesus
- Community - where workers can find community and friendship
- Shared Tasks - where many workers share the joy of the work
- Shared Ideas - an example of innovation, multiculturalism, and organization
Our classes are led by volunteer teams, many parents just like you, who commit weekly for six or more months. We keep a small child-to-adult ratio for relationship building and safety. Classes are grouped by age and/or physical ability – the activities and methods used are consistent with the group’s general abilities and needs. Children move to preschool in the fall following their 3rd birthday.

“He Established a Testimony. Old Testament Stories for Young Children.” Through play, discovery, singing, creating, this program continues chronologically through God’s Word. These stories are the roots which create the understanding of how DEEPLY God loves His people. The program is designed to continue through elementary years where the children will know what the stories mean and finally understand how DEEPLY God loves US. For more information on our curriculum visit: Children Desiring God

1st - 5th Grade Curriculum Description:
We use John Piper’s “Children Desiring God” curriculum in all our 1st service preschool - 5th grade classes. It systematically uses a biblically grounded foundation in the early years and then reintroduces those concepts in the form of doctrines in the later years. In short, the stories kids hear in preschool take on a deeper meaning as the lessons behind those stories are understood and applied when they get older.
Our teachers and volunteers all have backgrounds in education and are trained in discipling children with intention and love. Classes are divided by grade.
Grade 6th and up: “Practical Theology and Apologetics”
In Practical Theology and Apologetics for 6th graders, our goal is to teach your children how to love the Lord their God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength by:
- Demonstrating why the Bible is trustworthy
- Teaching them how to think critically
- Study how competing religions stack up against the Bible
- Getting the parents involved!
Homework is issued on a weekly basis. It is designed to get families involved in their children’s spiritual growth.
sure foundation choir
This is an amazing opportunity for your child to develop their musical talent and skills. Our children's choir performs Christmas and spring musicals each year as well as special events. Each musical is based around a theme in which material is developed and designed to grow each child in their walk with Christ.
Children's Choir for 1st thru 6th Grades
SFC is on hiatus until September.
Learn music and share at outreach events each semester.
Antioch's AWANA Club is a ministry for children ages 3 years through 6th grade. The heart of the AWANA program is Bible memorization. Club consists of council and handbook time, as well as organized games. Children earn awards and recognition for completed sections in their handbooks, and for cooperation within their assigned teams.
The word "AWANA" is an acronym for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed", taken from II Timothy 2:15 - "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."

We need you!
Antioch’s unique way to touching the lives of our neighbors is coming back this summer in full force. Backyard Vacation Bible school is unique to Antioch and carries out the great commission so personally…to our own neighbors. We have some clubs in the area lined up for this summer, but we need your help serving the kids. Our theme is focused on kids giving their whole lives to Jesus…not just saying “yes” for their ticket to heaven. If you are interested in serving, please visit the VBS table on Sundays for an information packet and specifics on what our needs are! Or send an email.
For one week during the summer you can be the voice of Truth to children in your neighborhood and community. The goal of Backyard Vacation Bible School is that all children will hear God's truth. For more information about these outreaches contact Kristi Luke. New outreaches will be happening this Summer!
They say on average, 40% of people accept Jesus Christ as their Savior by the age of 12 years old. For some of you, that’s a good chunk of your neighborhood.
So when you hear that distinct sound of laughter and squeaky bike wheels pushing daylight a little longer each night, think of how a life can forever be changed by the power of Jesus Christ by just taking few steps from the sidewalk into your backyard.
Antioch MOPS is a fun supportive group for moms with children ranging from pregnancy through Kindergarten. Our theme this year is Find Your Fire - join us Wednesdays to learn more about how uniquely God has made and equipped you to live in this world.
