ANTIOCH BIBLE CHURCH MISSION STATEMENT
Make Disciples of All Nations (Mt. 28:19-20)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Next Gen Pastor provides spiritual leadership for Antioch Bible Church’s children, youth, young adults, and their families, equipping and shepherding the next generation to become disciples of Jesus Christ. This role partners closely with the church’s mission to make disciples of all nations and serves a diverse, multicultural congregation.

This is a high-impact leadership position for a visionary and relational leader who thrives in a dynamic ministry environment. The Next Gen Pastor will lead, develop, and empower a strong volunteer team, fostering ministries that balance biblical truth, joy, and authentic community. Rather than maintaining existing programs, this role offers the opportunity to shape and build a flourishing Next Gen ministry for the future.

The ideal candidate leads by example, proclamation, and exhortation, embraces both innovation and legacy, and has a deep heart for families and disciple-making in an unchurched region. Antioch Bible Church is a close-knit, mission-driven family, and this role offers the opportunity to join a meaningful and growing movement of God.

Applicants must be in full agreement with Antioch Bible Church’s Doctrinal Statement

Kingdom Vision and Mission

  • Lead the church in fulfilling the biblical mandate of reconciliation, ensuring that all ministry is conceived and executed through a multi-cultural lens that celebrates and elevates the diversity of the congregation and the surrounding community.
  • Instill a passion for Kingdom expansion by mobilizing members (volunteers and staff) to confidently share the gospel and serve as “Ambassadors for Christ” who actively break down ethnic and socio-economic barriers.

Exponential Disciple-Making

  • Design and execute a comprehensive strategy for exponential spiritual growth across all demographics (Kids to Young Adults).
  • Leverage our IMPACT framework (intercession, multiplication, projects, activities, care and training) to drive genuine life transformation, moving people from initial contact to becoming Christ-like disciple-makers.
  • Build highly reproducible systems so that leaders can  successfully invite people to follow Jesus and move through initial faith to deep, Christ-like maturity and fruitful, lifelong service.

Lead Exceptional Teams

  • Identify, recruit, and empower volunteers. This includes seeing their potential and placing them in roles where they can truly thrive.
  • Build and develop a healthy volunteer and staff team to invest in children, students and families that represent our multi-ethnic and multi-cultural community.
  • With a servant’s heart, partner with parents and families to disciple kids and youth who become life- long followers of Jesus.
  • Ability to equip and empower others to do the work of ministry and demonstrate a passion for helping lead people into a life of discipleship and growth in Christ.

Communication

  • Leverage high-level communication skills to foster teamwork among staff and volunteers, ensuring collaboration and mutual understanding are prioritized to increase impact.
  • Communicate effectively across the entire generational spectrum, transitioning seamlessly from engaging the youngest child to providing meaningful counsel to our oldest saints.
  • Shepherding young families by providing proactive, empathetic, supportive communication and essential engagement with parents.

Teacher/Preacher

  • Serve as the primary teacher for our young people and oversee discipleship benchmarks for every age group.
  • Applying teaching skills effectively in small groups, training sessions, and leadership environments to drive organizational alignment and development.
  • Joyfully contribute powerful, relevant messages to the main pulpit when scheduled.
